there was a brief moment in seonghoon's time where he had been temporarily forced to escape his life as an idol and go off the grid, along with his #1 confidante and partner, aaron kim. the pair had been reported missing for almost a year, having been suddenly roped into a great deal of shady business with gangs from the underground, who seonghoon quickly learned were previously involved with aaron before the latter betrayed them; although seonghoon had been merely used as the bait to lure aaron, he had no choice but to spend his days fighting for his life alongside his friend, which caused the two to have various disputes, mostly started by seonghoon since he had obviously never wanted to be involved in aaron's past affairs.while this was going on, their family, friends, agency, managers/staff, and fans were in a frenzy as the two missing idols suddenly dropped off the face of the earth and were never seen again after their latest show. a seemingly endless search party all over korea was put in place by the korean national police and also everyone involved with them, including their fans.even during this rough period in seonghoon's life, he still had the support of his friend max, who he managed to contact early on. max had willingly taken on the role of the medic, patching him up after every fight but also just generally providing moral support to the delinquent while he still had to succumb to this double life of his.eventually he had been able to finally escape and live his life again once more. him and aaron had both decided with their agency to meet with a therapist for a while in order to try and recover from what they had gone through. but despite that, along with the increased security from his agency, he still has occasional nightmares about and fears to this day that he could someday be dragged back into his past delinquent endeavors again.
